This was our first time in Mountain City and we were looking for a small business restaurant. Captain Jim's looked clean and welcoming so we stopped in. What a great choice! The folks were very kind and the food was excellent, the service was fast. We live over in Gate City VA and we will definitely drive over to eat there again and bring some friends with us!

I'm glad we found this place when coming through Mountain City! Food was good, service was good for your little ma and pa restaurant. As far as the atmosphere, it was a little tight as far as the room with how many tables there are. We'll go back!

I took my Mother here for lunch it was very good . We had onion straws for starters . They were hand breaded & delicious . We put in our order we got the fish , shrimp oysters it was delicious the homemade tarter sauce , cocktail sauce . I highly recommend this great little restaurant. Ellen & Kari were so friendly.

My husband and I ordered food to go and I got fish and shrimp which I hardly ever eat fish as I can’t stand the taste but this fish was AMAZING!! So full of flavor and perfectly breaded and cooked!! The best fish I’ve had in a long time!!! Definitely will be eating it again.

That was the biggest Captain plate I ever ordered. It was good. There was only one employee because the other one had to leave with an emergency. She definitely took care of us.
